The Japan Evangelical Lutheran Association, commonly known as the JELA Foundation, partners with other Lutheran NGOs and church bodies to help alleviate poverty, hunger and disease around the world. JELA programs offer the poorest of the world’s poor hope for a better life today and an even brighter tomorrow. 100% of all donations go directly to designated JELA programs.
Over 600 million children live in poverty. Millions of these die before age five due to starvation or unsafe drinking water. Millions of others have no chance at even the simplest education. Millions eventually turn to crime or prostitution in order to survive. JELA feels each child is God’s special blessing, and we are determined to nourish, educate and protect as many as we can. We invite you to assist us in this, our unwavering mission. Help us save children!
