Agricultural Education

Teaching people how to farm is critically important in the battle against world hunger. The JELA Foundation therefore provides scholarships at the Asia Rural Institute (ARI) in Tochigi, Japan. Recent recipients have included village workers from Indonesia, Cambodia and India. Individuals return to their homes to teach others improved farming methods, thus contributing to the long-term solution to rid the world of hunger.
