Tube-well Construction

Lutheran World Federation members worldwide have played an active role in providing clean drinking water to poor communities. The JELA Foundation and members of the Japan Evangelical Lutheran Church (JELC) have worked to raise funds to support the construction of tube-wells in India and Bangladesh. Each spring Japanese Lutherans host a series of charity concerts at churches to increase awareness and raise funds to bring healthy water to children and their families. Recognizing the fact that clean water is necessary for good health, JELA will continue to construct tube-wells in those areas in most need.
